On March 28, the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) announced the Measures for Appraising and Selecting Winners of the 34th China Journalism Award, and Nankai University (NKU) became a new pilot applicant for providing candidates for the China Journalism Award.

The China Journalism Award is the highest national award for outstandingnews works approved by the central government, which is sponsored by the ACJA and organized annually. The selection scope covers various prestigious news media at all levels nationwide, basically including the main forms of news media works. It is a highly popular event for the whole journalism community, editors, and journalists across the country.

As a pilot applicant for providing candidates for the Award, NKU accepts news works from authors themselves or other sources and organizes the submission after preliminary appraisal. The School of Journalism and Communication of the University will further leverage its advantages, actively organize and recommend impressive news works to participate in the appraisal and selection, contribute to improving the dissemination, guiding influence, popularity, and credibility of journalism, and contribute to the development of journalism in the new era.
