The autumn sky is clear and the air is crisp and cool, even more beautiful than spring. The 2023 Autumn Sports Meet of Nankai University was successfully held from September 22 to 23. In the autumn breeze, the athletes from the School  of Journalism and Communication pressed ahead for the school’s glory on the sports field.

At the opening ceremony, the school’s energetic athletes marched in neat and powerful steps, demonstrated their confidence in striving for excellence and gained enthusiastic applause from the audience.

In September 2023, NankaiUniversity launched the Characteristic Marathon campus fitness drive. The mini-marathon event was introduced at this sports meet, which has come under spotlight.

The mini-marathon runners rushed away the starting line after the starting gun sounded, heading towards the finish line with passion and dreams. They measured the vastness of the campus with their feet, and enjoyed the challenges and joys brought by marathon. As a Chinese saying goes, The journey ahead may be long and arduous, but with sustained actions, we will eventually reach our destination and embrace a brighter future. Marathon is not only a sport, but also represents the spiritual quality of people's pursuit of goals and perseverance. The marathon athletes, wearing bright sports T-shirts, constituted another beautiful landscape for Nankai campus in the autumn day.

In track and field competitions, athletes from the school went all out to strive for the best results by fully demonstrating their skills in the beautiful sunshine. Their indomitable spirit and positive attitude at the sports meet echoed the university’s philosophy of educating people through sports and the call for good physical health of Nankai students to support the building of a strong power at NankaiUniversity.

On the field of fun events, athletes yielded both joys and challenges: they came to each other’s aids in each step; they ran back and forth in each sound of skipping ropes; and they passed each baton with good coordination in relay games.

The performance of these youngsters was so glittering that they left many moving moments. They ran from the starting point because they are courageous, and it was already a victory when they competed on the field. Athletes from the School of Journalism and Communication, with their sportsmanship and tenacious spirit on the sports field, deserve our cheers for them!
