The General Office of the Ministry of Education announced the first batch of national planning textbooks for vocational education during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Professor Liu Zhongbo's TV Programmes Production Techniques (published by Press of Communication University of China) was included into the list.
TV Programmes Production Techniques, based on solid theoretical foundation, offers comprehensive explanations, covering the technical development history, technical indicator system, as well as the knowledge system of camera technology, sound technology, non-linear editing technology, studio technology, and post-production technology, which is helpful for students' systematic learning and professional accumulation. This textbook adopts a unit-based training model with abundant cases, both theoretical and practical, covering the history of technology and the characteristics of technological development in the new media era. After its publication, it has been well received by a large number of teachers and students, and has imposed a significant influence in universities and colleges concerned.
Since joining Nankai University in 2005, Professor Liu Zhongbo, the editor in chief of the textbook, has been working on the front line of teaching and research, teaching courses such as Television Program Editing and Production, Audiovisual Media Morphology, Documentary Creation, and TV Drama Research. TV Programmes Production Techniques was adopted as an applied textbook in the field of broadcasting, film and television by Communication University of China for the 13th Five-Year Plan period, and has won the Academic Textbook Award from the Chinese Collegial Association for Visual Art. According to the Circular of the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission on the Selection of High-quality Vocational Education Textbooks for 2023, this textbook will also be automatically included in the Tianjin’s vocational education textbooks for the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
