Teachers and Students of School of Journalism and Communication Win Awards at CCAVA Annual Conference

The 40th Anniversary Conference and 23rd Annual Conference of Chinese Collegial Association of Visual Art (CCAVA) & 16th China Film and Television Forum were held at the Huairou Campus of Beijing Film Academy From October 20 to 23. Nearly 800 film and television scholars from universities across China attended the conference.

A total of 27 articles nationwide were shortlisted in the academic achievement promotion activity and the 16th Society Award (Film and Television Review) this year, including 8 first prizes, 8 second prizes, and 11 third prizes. The paper of Associate Professor Tian Yizhou of the NKU School of Journalism and Communication, Walking on the Moon Alone: The Return of the High Concept Strategy and the Construction of Local Science Fiction Aesthetics won the first prize in the category of film and television review; Teacher Wang Ruoxuan's paper Humanistic Narrative, Homeland Space, and New National Style Images: The Triple Aesthetic Dimensions of Chinese Traditional Culture Documentaries in Recent Years won the second prize in the category of film and television review; the paper, The Dual Media Characteristics and Cultural Logic of Regenerated Images - Taking the CP Direction Mash-up Video on Bilibili as an Example, co-authored by Teacher Shi Xiaoxi and 2023 Master's Degree student in Journalism and Communication, Li Zixuan, won the second prize in the category of film and television review.

At the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Founding of the CCAVA and the 2022-2023 Academic Achievements and Film and Television Works Promotion Event & the 16th Society Award and 13th Academy Award Ceremony on the evening of October 21, the School of Journalism and Communication of Nankai University was awarded the honor of Excellent Organization.

The CCACA is a national first level association approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and managed by the National Radio and Television Administration. It has over 2800 members and is mainly composed of experts and scholars from universities across the country specializing in teaching, research, and creative work in fields such as broadcasting and film, animation and digital art, network audiovisual and new media.

The CCAVA has established the Society Award since 1993, oriented to academic monographs, professional textbooks, research reports, academic papers, film and television reviews, etc. The Society Award established by the national first level association is a professional evaluation platform for scientific research achievements in the field of film and television in national universities, which is authoritative with high academic value.
