School of Journalism and Communication Successfully Holds First Integrated Media Publishing Innovation and Creativity Competition

The School of Journalism and Communication recently held the first Integrated Media Publishing Innovation and Creativity Competition, in order to deepen the study and implementation of Xi Jinping thought on culture, implement the deployment requirements of the Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Co-construction of Publishing Discipline issued by the Publicity Department of the CPC and the Ministry of Education, respond to the 2024 Innovation and Creativity Competition for College Students Majoring in Publishing organized by the National Publishing Discipline Co-construction Work Liaison Office, and promote students’ innovation ability and creativity.

The competition received entries from 24 teams (individuals) from different schools. After preliminary review, 13 teams (individuals) entered the final round.

The final was held at Xiushan Hall, Jinnan Campus. After defense and review, three entries were awarded the First Prize, namely, the topic planning for Prodigy Knowing Hundred Herbs: Parent-child Interactive Science Education Game Book, the “Poetry is Not Far, Poetry Teaches China” youth group poetry reading promotion plan - relying on the Jialing Cup Poetry Analysis Competition, and the Mistakenly Into the Depths of Lotus Flowers game - a digital cultural and creative product with Li Qingzhao as the main theme. Another four entries were awarded the Second Prize and six entries were awarded the Third Prize.

This is the first time the School held a publishing innovation and creativity competition. Attaching great importance making a comprehensive planning, the School managed to support the students to actively participate in the competition by holding a mobilization meeting, inviting publishing experts to giving advice, and appointing teachers to provide guidance. The School will actively encourage and recommend students to participate in national competitions, hoping they can win awards in the competitions and produce more excellent publication works.
