School of Journalism and Communication Holds New Semester Work Deployment Meeting for Student Organizations

On February 24, the School of Journalism and Communication convened its new semester work deployment meeting for student organizations in Room 108 of Xiushan Hall. Song Yan, Secretary of the School's Youth League Committee, along with members of the Youth League Committee, Student Union, and Graduate Student Association of the School, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the three student organizations respectively presented their key achievements from the autumn semester and outlined their work plans for the new semester. The Youth League Committee successfully completed tasks including League organization construction, League class organization, and operation of the League-affiliated WeChat official account. By combining theory with practice through distinctive League activities organized by various departments, the Committee enhanced students' ideological and political awareness while strengthening the cohesion of the Youth League organizations. The Student Union actively participated in the preparatory work for the university's 31st Student Congress and selected a cohort of outstanding student representatives through the Jade Polishing Program. The One-Week Friend themed event planned and organized by the Union significantly enriched students' extracurricular life. The Graduate Student Association successfully hosted the Appointment with Mentors lecture series to facilitate faculty-student interaction and foster mentor-student relationships. Multiple research surveys were also conducted to collect student feedback through questionnaires and safeguard student rights and interests.

Song Yan, Secretary of the School's Youth League Committee, acknowledged the student organizations' accomplishments over the past semester and provided guidance for their key initiatives in the new semester. All three student organizations reaffirmed their commitment to student-centered service, pledging to optimize event forms and improve work quality.

The work deployment meeting not only reviewed the achievements of each student organization over the past semester, but also articulated clear plans for their future work. The School of Journalism and Communication will continue upholding its mission of serving students to promote diversified and high-quality development of campus activities.
