School of Journalism and Communication Successfully Hosts "Guidance on Securing Success in Postgraduate Entrance Exam" Experience Sharing Session

On March 13, NKU School of Journalism and Communication organized an experience-sharing session for postgraduate entrance exam preparation. Five outstanding speakers—Gao Xinyu, graduate of the Class of 2023, Xiao Hanqi, graduate of the Class of 2024, and Guo Xu, Zeng Xuanyi, and Cheng Hanyao, current postgraduate students at the School—were invited to share their insights with prospective examinees from the Class of 2026. The event was moderated by faculty members Yu Mengli and Li Weijia.

The five speakers shared their exam preparation experience from key aspects including study planning, learning strategies, and mindset management, helping attendees better understand the significance and define their objectives in taking the postgraduate entrance exam.

Guo Xu, postgraduate student at the School, emphasized the importance of aligning school choices with personal interests and strengths. She encouraged the examinees to keep a positive attitude, stay determined, and stick to a regular schedule with healthy meals to be well prepared for the exam.

Cheng Hanyao urged perseverance and confidence during the preparation process, advising students to set aside sufficient time for revision, break down revision tasks into daily goals, and follow the plan with concrete actions.

Zeng Xuanyi detailed her efficient 90-day preparation strategy, stressing structured daily schedules, time management, mindset adjustment, and gradual exam skill improvement.

Gao Xinyu, who earned her bachelor's degree from the School and gained admission to the School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University through the postgraduate entrance exam, highlighted the importance of analyzing mistakes and shared practical revision techniques with the prospective examinees.

Xiao Hanqi, currently a 2024 postgraduate student in Radio, Television, and New Media at Beijing Normal University, stressed that passion should be the top priority when choosing a major, and once the goal is set, persist with unwavering commitment.

This postgraduate entrance exam experience-sharing session not only provided students with invaluable advice and guidance, but also ignited their enthusiasm and confidence for taking the exam. We firmly believe that more students will succeed in their postgraduate entrance exams and realize their academic aspirations in the near future.
