On April 7, the Labor Union of the School of Journalism and Communication organized the faculty and staff to visit the Memorial to Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao and the Water Park for a thematic spring outing. This unique red education + green ecology dual-themed study-tour model allowed participants to cultivate patriotism while enjoying the spring scenery.
Red Memories: Revisiting the Heroic Past beneath Crabapple Blossoms
The faculty and staff first arrived at the Memorial to Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao. With profound reverence, they traced the remarkable revolutionary footprints of the two great leaders, deeply moved by their dedication to the nation and its people, as well as their noble character. Coinciding with the Memorial's first Crabapple Culture Festival, 25 midget crabapple trees were in full bloom, harmonizing beautifully with over a hundred precious cultural relics and historical photographs on display. Reading Premier Zhou Enlai's handwritten poem Notes on a Spring Day and Comrade Deng Yingchao's Elegy to the Crabapple Flowers, the participants were deeply moved by the revolutionaries' romantic sentiments.
Green Symphony: Joyful Faces Reflected in Spring Radiance
The group then proceeded to the Water Park, a national 4A-level scenic spot. Grass growing and birds flying, the Water Park in spring was full of vitality. Basking in the gentle spring sunshine, the faculty and staff strolled along the lakeside paths shaded by verdant trees, admiring the picturesque spring scenery. In small groups, some paused for group photos to capture the beautiful moments, while others engaged in casual conversations, sharing insights about work and life. The park resonated with their laughter and cheerful voices, creating a relaxed and harmonious ambiance.
This spring outing not only alleviated work-related stress for the faculty and staff, but also achieved a dual enhancement of spiritual enrichment and team cohesion through red cultural immersion and green ecological exploration. It is reported that the School's Labor Union will continue to innovate activity forms and deepen service connotation to support the School's development.
