Recently, Tianjin Municipal Education Labor Union announced the results of a series of thematic essay competitions. Song Yan, Secretary of the Youth League Committee at the School of Journalism and Communication, was awarded first prize in the theoretical essay category.
Titled Learning from General Secretary Xi Jinping's Speeches: How Party Members Can Tell the Stories of Chinese WorkersWell, her essay, by delving into the essence of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speeches, discusses how to narrate Chinese workers' stories well through the prism of Party members' responsibilities and missions, demonstrating both theoretical depth and a focus on practical application.
For years, the School has been committed to cultivating outstanding journalism and communication professionals, and actively encouraging faculty members to engage with social realities and contribute to the advancement of theoretical and practical development in related fields. Going forward, the School will further mobilize both faculty and students to engage in labor movement theory research, aiming to produce more insightful and empathetic academic works to support the innovative development of the labor movement through scholarly contributions.
